These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Unbite mobile application (the "App"), published by Christos Ouzounis E.E. ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

What the App is

The App plays high-frequency sound tones through your device's speaker. It is offered as a simple experiment for personal, non-commercial use.

No guarantee of Effectiveness

The App is an experiment, not a proven mosquito repellent. We make no claim, promise, or guarantee that the sounds it produces will repel, deter or kill mosquitoes or any other insects.

The scientific evidence on sound-based mosquito repelling is mixed and unsettled. The App may have no effect at all. It is not a substitute for proven protection methods especially in areas where mosquitoes may carry disease. Do not rely on the App for protection against mosquito-borne illness. If you are in such an area, use proven methods and consult appropriate health guidance.

Health and safety

The App produces sound at frequencies that may be audible to you, to others nearby, and especially to animals such as dogs and cats. If the sound causes discomfort to any person or pet, lower the volume, change the mode, or stop entirely. The App is not a medical device and makes no health claims.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the App lawfully and for personal use only. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.

The App is provided "as is"

The App is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any reliance on the App for mosquito protection.

Privacy

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It requires no account and no internet connection, and all functionality runs entirely on your device. For more detail, see our Privacy Statement.

App Store terms

You downloaded the App through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and is not a party to these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Greece, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you under EU or Greek law.
